Scotch and Wry
Reverend I. M. Jolly. lol
Classic comedy from one of Scotland's finest. A oldie but Goldie!
Scotch and Wry was a Scottish comedy show broadcasted on BBC ONE Scotland and starred Rikki Fulton. After two series, in 1978 and 1979, the programme continued as a regular part of the channel's Hogmanay celebrations between 1980 and 1992.
Very much a regional comedy show, the focus of Scotch and Wry was on predominantly Scottish (and in particular Glaswegian) humour - the viewer had to be familiar with the Glasgow Patter in order to understand many of the jokes, however I think anyone can understand this sketch!

The Everyday Kindness Awards
ING Direct has teamed up with the Kindness Offensive to celebrate everyday acts of kindness.
Normally, little everyday acts of kindness pass with no fanfare. We don’t believe that’s right, so that’s why in August we surprised unsuspecting members of the public who showed a little kindness to strangers.
Actors posed as members of public in need of a little help, to see how many people would be kind enough to help. Each person who did was given a huge, over the top kindness ‘celebration’ and a bottle of champagne to take home. For a few days, those little acts of kindness got the recognition they deserve.
